The storming of the Bastille (symbol of oppression and atrocities of the rulers) in 1789 is considered the beginning of the revolution in France - a true revolution of independence.
July 14, the Bastille Day.
All of France celebrates. A military parade is organized in Paris between the Arc de Triomphe and Concorde Square, passing through the Champs-Elysees. Military ceremonies are also held in many cities across the country.
At night, fireworks illuminate the sky in most municipalities, usually accompanied by dances and concerts. Depending on the location, celebrations take place on the eve of July 14 or the evening of the same day, which allows some people to celebrate the national day twice!
